November 15, 2014, at around 7:20 pm, a complainant came personally at the Lamut Police Station and reported that the Videoke bars near their residence at Poblacion West Lamut Ifugao are operating with too strong and too noisy videoke machines creating nuisance at the area. Immediately personnel of this office led by PSI EDGAR LIWAYAN TAPO, OIC, proceeded at the area. They found out that videoke bars are indeed open with the videoke machines on. Prior to the incident, a closure order has already been issued by the LGU Lamut because they were operating their videoke bars without permit to operate and business licenses from the Local Government Unit of the municipality of Lamut but despite several warnings given to the operators, they are still insistent in their operation prompting the PNP personnel of Lamut to confiscate the videoke machines of two videoke bars.
Confiscated Videoke machine sets were brought to Lamut Police Station for safe keeping. This office directly filed a case of Violation of Minicipal Ordinance No. 2000-01 at the Minicipal Circuit Trial Court, Lamut, Ifugao against the operators.#
