GOOD TO KNOW I In pursuit of a quality and excellent system in the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lamut, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Ifugao subjected the municipality to the National Validation of the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) today, 14 September 2022.

Hon. Victomar H. Bunnol, Municipal Mayor together with the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members headed by Municipal Vice-Mayor Hon. Everda Desiree Dulinayan, LGU department heads and section chiefs warmly welcomed the national evaluators from DILG Region III namely Suslijah John N. Gesmundo, Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) VI; and Aldwin B. Reyes, LGOO VI/LG-MED Assistant Division Chief.

In his welcome message, Hon. Bunnol commended the past administration under the leadership of Atty. Mariano Buyagawan Jr. which brought pride to the municipality.

LGU Lamut is known as a consistent SGLG passer bagging four (4) SGLG for the past years through the supervision of Buyagawan.

Along with this, Bunnol unhesitatingly remarked that with the collaborative effort and laid-out plans of his humble administration, the SGLG will again be conferred in the municipality.

In addition, he also challenged all department heads and public servants to do their part and to work hand-in-hand to hit the municipality’s objectives.

The evaluation of documents were subjectively from the year 2021 and 2022 under the administration of the former Mayor Buyagawan and the newly elected Mayor Bunnol.

Meanwhile, Aldwin B. Reyes reiterated that the national validation will serve as an avenue to discuss and give recommendations on local and administrative concerns for the betterment of the municipality.

“Hindi po kami nandito para maghanap ng mali, nandito po kami para tumulong kung ano man po ang pwede naming maitulong para sa ikabubuti po ng lahat,” stressed Aldwin.

The onsite inspection was done by Suslijah John N. Gesmundo whilst the simultaneous table validation of documents with the department heads was observed by Aldwin B. Reyes.

In her closing remarks, Hon. Everda Desiree Dulinayan thanked all the public servants present up until the end of the validation and expressed her high hopes that through genuine leadership and efficient management of the new administration, they will be able to reach their target and be granted the SGLG in the next succeeding years.

The evaluation was concluded by awarding of certificates and tokens to the dynamic validators.
