The LGU of Lamut, Ifugao was recently awarded with the Seal of Good Local Governance under the leadership of Atty. Mariano Buyagawan Jr., mun. mayor, by the DILG Provincial Director, Rosario B. Dumelod at the mun. gymnasium during the First Working Day of September 2015
Among the 11 municipality of Ifugao, only Lamut passed the the “3 plus 1” Principle applies. This means that the LGU of Lamut passed all the three (3) core assessment areas (Good Financial House Keeping, Social Protection and Disaster Preparedness) and at least one (1) from the essential assessment area (Business-friendliness and Competitiveness, Peace and Order, and Environmental Management) but Lamut passed all of it.
Mayor Mariano Buyagawan Jr., in his message, thanked all the the Department Heads, DILG, and employees for the success of the said award. According to him, they are the no.1 reason for the award received. For him, he is only the “Director” and the employees are the “Doers”.
Passing the Seal entitles the LGU to access the Performance Challenge Fund for this year, allows to secure the GFH Certification for loan purposes and provides an opportunity to avail other national program windows like Bottom-Up Budgeting Program and the SALINTUBIG Program. #Elvira Matabye
